I think it's about a relationship, where he's heard enough lies that he's sort of used to it. "you will not frighten me" etc. 2ND MEANING : I think he is oblivious to the lies or whatever, so he says "wake up and frighten me". ne way muse rock saw em live last nov. god i love them
