WWOZ Lyrics

WWOZ is on in stereo
A string of flowers haloed around your head
Candle light
Ceiling fan
Curtains blow away and back again
Back again
Don't wake me, I think I'm in a dream

Sleeping is easy
I used to lay in bed for hours
I've waited a lifetime now maybe I'll learn

Calling back and forth through heavy air
The barges sound their warnings in the dark
Peace comes like a trusted friend
As it starts to rain again fall away
Fall away
So don't wake me I think, I'm in a dream

Now sleeping is easy
I used to lay in bed for hours
I've waited a lifetime now maybe I'll learn
Sleeping is easy
I used to walk the streets for hours.
I've waited a lifetime now maybe I'll learn

Let go of you fear, let's grow old together
Find a place along the way
Let's reel through the years
Each makes the other better.
But what thoughts can I call allies
when this circle of ribs keeps working on its own?

Chorus:

WWOZ's on in stereo. Well it's on in stereo.

I am fanatical when it comes to lyrical works. I am fascinated by songwriting and have written hundereds myself. My wife and I chose WWOZ to be our wedding song last October. I wish more music lovers had gotten a chance to hear this one. It is a song with levels of depth and imagary that have been left in the past.

I wish I could let the members of Ezra know how touching this song is. I bet they never thought that it would turn out to be someone's wedding song.

Could you ever say anything more profound and heartfelt than, "Let go of you fear, let's grow old together We'll find a place along the way Let's reel through the years EACH MAKES THE OTHER BETTER."

"Don't wake me, I think I'm in a dream"

Thank you Better Than Ezra

one of the greatest "love" (sentimental feeling, ideal settings) I have ever heard. I think it talks in a great detail about the fear and the irony of knowing yourself, being that independent being, and realizing that this person gets you to this dream state, unaware of everything and you need them. great stuff

Let go of you fear, let's grow old together Find a place along the way Let's reel through the years Each makes the other better. But what thoughts can I call allies when this circle of ribs keeps working on its own?

I'm a 21 year old male who's never been in a serious relationship. But I want this song to be my wedding song. I think it's about 2 people helping each other become better than they were before. I love it, and I'd be lying if I said I hadn't reared up on multiple occasions listening to it. And I most likely will on my wedding day as well.
