Classic love story true to his western tx roots. One of my favorites as a story, but I think there are alot of songs that are amazing not even listed on this site. I guess I should figure out how to add them, because I have about 8 REK cd's.
Shoot me
Shoot me
Shoot me
Shoot me
Here come old flat top
He come groovin' up slowly
He got ju-ju eyeball
He one holy roller
He got hair down to his knee
Got to be a joker
He just do what he please
Shoot me
Shoot me
Shoot me
Shoot me
He wear no shoeshine
He got toe jam football
He got monkey finger
He shoot Coca-Cola
He say, "I know you, you know me"
One thing I can tell you is
You got to be free
Come together, right now
Over me
Shoot me
Shoot me
Shoot me
He bag production
He got walrus gumboot
He got Ono sideboard
He one spinal cracker
He got feet down below his knee
Hold you in his armchair
You can feel his disease
Come together, right now
Over me
Shoot me
Right
Come, come, come, come, come
He roller coaster
He got early warning
He got muddy water
He one mojo filter
He say, "One and one and one is three"
Got to be good looking
'Cause he's so hard to see
Come together right now
Over me
Shoot me
Shoot me

Come together, yeah
Come together, yeah
Come together, yeah

Warren wanted a Beach Boys thing for this one, and Carl Wilson and Billy Hinsche came in, with Carl arranging the vocal parts. The other harmony vocalists (credited as the "Gentlemen Boys") were Jackson Browne, J.D. Souther, Zevon's longtime backers Waddy Wachtel and Jorge Calderon, and Linda Rondstadt/Stone Poneys guitarist Kenny Edwards.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere.
In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.
Holiday

@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday".
I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
actually this song has many many drug refrences. im not sure what joo-joo eyeballed means, but i assume its something to do with dialated pupils after using acid or smoking pot. i know the holy roller is a refrence to rolling joints, because stores that use to sell rolling papers usually had bibles and other religous materials in them, thus producing holy roller, i even herd stories that bible pages were used to roll joints. and come on he shoot coca cola? shooting coke. bag production, weed, baggin weed. spinal cracker, acid hits go straight to the spin
Hello Cadaver,

The only thing i can think of with the joo joo eyeball reference is the old black and white tarzan films with Jonny Weismuller in, there was always a part in the film where the natives carrying all the equipment would not go past a certain point because of the joo joo tribe and the camera would have close ups of them crapping there pants so maybe its a reference to there scared faces and bulging eyeballs.
I've been in many head shops, never once saw a Bible. No one I know ever used a Bible page to roll a joint. You are just making up stuff.
@sm666, I've actually seen a lot of people use Bible pages to roll a joint. It's made of rice paper. They say it burns the same as rolling papers.
