Candelabra snuffed prey - silhouette wedded
Nightfall take my hand
Seduce me with silky timbred limbs
Grant me thy dark command
Over the peaks framing tapestries
Of thick forest, dusk has filled
With Lucifugous kisses enwreathed in mist
Creeping like violations from the shadows
To kill

Lucretia
Is my love in vein
When thy tears bleed sweeter
Thank the midsummer rain?
Bewinged, infested belfries
Toll o'er the sobbing throng
A writhe of lethargic, terrored nudes
Whipped and welted neath the barbed windsong

(In saddean paradise
Ancestral legacies linger on)

I am He
The crowned and conquering darkness
Satan robed in ecumenical filth
Livid Bacchus sustained by bridal echelons of sylph

This wintry eve when the snow glistens deep
And sharpened turrets wed the jewelless skies
I shrug off the shroud of preternatural sleep
Enbroided by these words Malaresia scribed....

"Beauty slept and angels wept
For Her immortal soul
In this response, all evil chose
To claim her for their very own"

Carpathia
The pleasured dead speak of her
In necromantic tongue
When ambered daylights are done

Masterbating in their graves
On her zenith to come

This catafalque night when awed stars report
Their absence from the heavenly brow
Crippled seraph shalt cower in illustrious courts
Whilsts the cloaked maelstrom resounds throughout

"How the storm it fulfills
My heart though unhealed
Celestial knives ebonied
And wild woods thrill
Yet far fiercer still
Her lustre eviscerates me"

Carpathia
Priapic lovers twist in concert with Her
Covenants are struck, jagged lightning fellates
The path towards the castle weary innocence takes

I rule as Master here
Where feral hordes impart my temper
Love sank wounded when I, betrayed
Saw death etch cruelly, upon my lineage

"Usher the spite seething Draconist
And commit this world to thy ancient
Sovereignty"

Erunescent veil descend
Psalmed sunset thus portends
And laid to rest, I now am blessed
With this darkness, forever more

Supreme Vampiric Evil

I agree with "Opethfanatic89" and i have a strong passionate hate for "oh_my_lantern"...

Top 5 Reasons To Hate "oh_my_lantern"-

    1. His name reminds me of the phrase "Oh my Lanta." which is used by several old fogies throughout the world (lmao)

    2. He's bashing Cradle

    3. He has no understanding of the different sub-genres of metal, Killswitch Engage, Lamb of God, and Iron Maiden are pretty basic metal bands to me. Slipknot is like thrash metal or speed metal and Cradle is just their own unique style. (btw, I don't like Slipknot, Lamb of God, Killswitch Engage, or Iron Maiden, but notice how I'm not bashing them, but rather bashing an ass wipe)

    4. According to the times given on my computer, he leaves his comments in the early hours of the morning so he has more of a chance to respond to our arguments because he can't come up with this stuff on the top of hiss head because he doesn't feel as strongly as he thinks he does on the subject.

    5. I can already tell what kind of person he is by just reading his comments. He's the stuck-up, thinks he's all that and a bag of shit, waste of skin that has no life so he bashes others.

    END OF CONVERSATION!!!

What are you a fucking mixture of jews, communists and nazis? Lantern, how can a pathetic shame to the world like you even be? If I were you i'd rather start doing something more useful than wanking out shit of your degradated brain. Killing yourself with a spoon or some nice literature would be more than decent. This isn't mein kampf, grow up, it's long over.

I really like the lyric, but it isn't the right one.On the cd Dusk an her embrace from cof is also a song called funeral in carpathia, but the lyric is different. this lyric is right but NOT the real one. This lyric is from the cd From the cradle to enslave (number6).

I knew something didn't look right... this is Funeral In Carpathia (Be Quick Or Be Dead Version) off of From The Cradle To Enslave E.P. as the goddess said above.

WTF is this song about? WTF is Carpathia? It was the ship that rescued all the survivors of the Titanic, but that doesn't sound like something Dani would right about. Why write about saving life, when you can write about taking the lives of young virgins and drinking their blood? It's also a Mountain range in Eastern Europe. The Carpathian mountains.

Yep, that's the one. The Carpathians are a mountain range in northern Romania - Transylvania. I guess referring to Carpathia is a little less cliched and faux vampire cheesy than writing about Transylvania. Sounds better as well.

Carpathia is reffering to all that vampyric bollocks he talks about, u see he can write amzing lkyrics he just talks about shite, he should talk about something more meaningfull, but then maybe vampires is the only thing he knows about.

this is about a region in rumania where the story of Dracula took place. He uses the name of Carpathia instead of Transylvania to escape from the clichè of calling the track "funeral in transylvania". It is a story of a vampire and how delightful the night is to him, and how this nocturnal kingdom belongs to him ("I rule as Master here Where feral hordes impart my temper"). Also, somewhere in the begining of the track, he names Lucretia, who I believe is his beloved one.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

No Surprises

Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
