What's with this? This song's been out for about a year and still no one has commented? This song is sooo great... Download it/Buy the CD/Do whatever you have to do to hear this song... It's like my new favorite song... Anyway, I think it's about the obvious... Some girl is deserted by someone (possibly her father, or a metaphor for other people, friends, family, etc.) and she's stuck in a stereotype (the story written for the part she has to play), which she has to break (the life-size mirror). In other words, the message is that you have to break away from what people want you to be and go off and do your own thing...

i cant believe hardly anyone has commented.. this song is so awesome, mostly the sound since i cant exactly relate to these lyrics.. but i have a feeling i will sometime, because i do that they're talking about in the song.. i shove people aside and only keep the people close to me that i want to, and i can be really selfish and inconsiderate sometimes.. "soon she'll know how lonely it can be.."
the song is great! i think of it just the same as what other people do...about someone who has been deserted, and is confused and wont let people into their heart...my question is, who is it really about? it it really about some random girl...or could he be talking about himself in another context? hmmmmm......
this is a great song..i dont wanna start getting into my problems but i can really relate to that last line
what a sad, sad song, and it happens to so many kids, thats the terrible thing. one of my favorite punk songs.
gahd, ever since the second my friend said "download this, laurajane, its soo you" i have loved it. maybe that wasnt a compliment from him, but that doesnt stop me from lovin it. we both decided that "She put up defensive shields, to walk through all of life's minefields" was the most appropriate line in the whole song for me. (self explanitory) anywayz, just had to add a comment to tha list of comments following my favorite song. :) -laterz
