Buildings will replace the trees
Pollution will replace the air we breathe
I'm close to the mountain, 15 miles away
But I can't see the hills from here today

We can't just let it pass us by
And as I look into the sky
Something in the atmosphere
Is telling me won't be here for long

Take a picture of this place
Cause extinction is not so far away
Our skin will fry like a steak well done
When there's nothing between us and the sun

Until it's gone, until it's gone, until it's gone
We'll never miss it until it's gone

All the efforts seem to fail
With cars and cans of aerosol
I feel so guilty, then my pride will die
When I see the gray, self-created sky

Until we find a better way
We'll have to learn from all our big mistakes
Something in the atmosphere
Is telling me it won't be here for long

Seems like a letter that we cannot send
Fells like aluminum we cannot bend
Tastes like a mixture that we cannot blend
But we must change the course,
Of the recipe to the end

This is the first No Use song I heard. It was over 10 years ago and it was the soundtrack to a snowboard video I had and from then on I was hooked on this music. Too bad No Use went soft, they were sooooo good on this album. If you liked this song, check out Feeding the Fire... Another great song from Nufan. BTW, I was there at the warped tour back in '98 and Tony and Matt came up to me in the crowd (probably noticed the NUFAN shirt I had bought that day and was wearing) and said "hey dude, help us get up to the front of the crowd to see Ozzy.. " (I guess I looked tall to them?) Unfortunately I was with a group and looking for a friend and the time and did not want to let my friends down by getting lost too... I still regret this decision to this day!!!!!!! If you ever have the chance to hang out with a band you love I suggest you do it without thinking twice or you will regret it the rest of you life!!!!!!!!!!!

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

When We Were Young
Blink-182
This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
