This is one amazing song, to me its where you find that right girl and he would do anything at all to keep her. There is this girl that I like and I play the song when she is over, whether with her friends or alone, and I dont think she is picking up on it. hehe.

This is a great song- Billy should have released it as a single instead of giving Garth Brooks a #1 hit with it! lol This song is about a woman that he likes more than she probably likes him back (which of course gives her all the control). He doesn't like feeling out of control because he's used to having power in everything else in his life. He can usually control the outcome, but not with her. ("It's out of my hands.") But he decides that she is worth the risk.

The first time I heard this song, I thought it was incredibly stupid, because I would have never let myself end up like this. About a year later, I heard it again, and it felt like I had written the lyrics myself. Strange how your thoughts can change about somethin, eh?

This song is about Billy Joel's daughter or children in general. When one becomes a father....it is unbelievable the control children have in your life
