I just heard this one on a Canadian radio station. I just love it, so rare that we hear a song with a sense of humour (just read the lyrics!) -can't recall anything since George Thorogood's "Get A Haircut"!

It's a pretty straightforward interpretation, I guess!
The high maintenance gal, who seems like such a catch at first, quickly becomes less attractive..
But yes, an excellent song, and so is the video.
I wonder if the girl is getting short shrift in this song, though. We only have the singer's word for it that "her personality didn't have the cash". Maybe he's just intimidated by a stylish, self assured woman.
