this is true.......emily was written by the december drive's lead singer david cortez. it's about his unborn daughter years ago w/ an old high school sweetheart. they lost the baby and daivid called it emily and wrote a song about it...i love this song so much. it is a beautiful song . the lyrics are ravishing!!!
My favorite memory of this song is one time at a show. The power had shut off so Dave got his guitar and played it by himself. Screaming all of lyrics so everyone could hear him. It was amazing.
And I had no idea it was about an unborn child he was expecting.
