LSD taught me a lot about me
Or would I have figure it out just naturally?
It's too late to tell because I'm talking to hell
With all the other acid casualties
Spent a lot of time staring at ceiling fans
And tripping on stereo panning
Came to a new level of understanding
But it never much came in handy
And now I'm just so damaged
But all those straight minds are just so narrow
And me and my friends are wondering just where oh where
Where did our minds go?
I learned a lot from smoking pot
Then again maybe not
Can't remember what I forgot
I do believe I'm shaking up our conceptions of reality
But goddamn if I don't got friends
Who forget where they were heading
And they're looking every direction
And all they see is dead ends
Some of my friends are already talking
How they miss the old days
But they never seems to connect it
With their new ways
No they never think of changing things
They just order up another drink
And the reasons why we're getting fucked up
End up not mattering that much
Well, yeah, I get fucked up every once in a while
But we all got friends who got to get fucked up just to smile
And it ain't a smile if you got to force it
