Overkill Lyrics

I can't get to sleep.
I think about the implications
Diving in too deep.
And possibly the complications
Especially at night
I worry over situations
I know will be alright
Perhaps it’s just imagination
Day after day
It reappears
Night after night
My heartbeat shows the fears
Ghosts appear and fade away
I’m know between the sheets
But it only brings exasperation
It’s time to wake the streets
Smell the desperation
At least there’s pretty lights
And though there’s little variation
It nummifies the night
from overkill
Day after day
It reappears
Night after night
My heartbeat shows the fears
Ghosts appear and fade away
Come back another day
I can't get to sleep.
I think about the implications
Diving in too deep.
And possibly the complications
Especially at night
I worry over situations
I know will be alright
It’s just overkill…

Also, these lyrics are wrong...sorry...but some of them are obviously misheard "nummifies" = mummifies, "will" = "we'll" (in the Chorus)...I think that's it...

actually it's "nullifies"

MorningSon: Lazlo Bane is a band from Boston, not a person. They were named after a character in Rachel Andrews' novel entitled Theme Park Roadkill. I think you got confused somewhere.

Chachee: You're partially right. These lyrics are, for the most part, incorrect. You just couldn't make the right corrections. You'd be best off checking the lyrics to the Men At Work version of Overkill.

The original with colin hay really suks, while this version is great. Amazing how mucch better a song can get. Same with eels version of Madonna - angel. Just remove all the stupid 80s instruments and silly vocals and the songs soul is visible.
