One of my favorite Who tunes. No clue what it means; it doesn't seem to have any kinda hidden or deep message. Just a good song.
Not quite sure, but from what lyrics I'm able to interpret, this song is about rejecting a form of muzak (disco, in this case, since this was the late '70s) and going for the music that fits you personally.

gotta love that synth part when it kicks in at the end. i think this song is kind of about the end of the 70s. i also like the allusion to tommy: black plastic deaf, dumb and blind.
