It'd been too many times that I stuck out my neck
For you
It's been too many times that I spoke my mind
For you
It's been too many times that I caught all the flak
From you
Apathetic crap is all I can find
In you

I don't want no part in this
I don't feel the need to score
Burnt all bridges close to the heart
I don't want to be a part
No more

Dosvidanija ciao adieu
Hasta la vista I'm on my way
Goodbye sayonara
Auf nimmerweidersehen
Over and out
And down the drain

It's been too many times that I raised my voice
At you
It's been too many times that I walked the line
With you
It's been too many times that I've had no choice
But you
Hypocritical swine I have had it this time
Thank you

I don't want no part in this
I don't feel the need to score
Burnt all bridges close to the heart
I don't want to be a part
No more

Dosvidanija ciao adieu
Hasta la vista I'm on my way
Goodbye sayonara
Auf nimmerweidersehen
Over and out
And down the drain

General Commenti belive this song to be about a someone leaving their partner due to how they were taking all the shit for them and they were fed up with it and sick of it so they left..

General CommentActually this song is basically a "goodbye" to fans since this was (Until Attak anyways...) their last album as KMFDM.

    General CommentI'm agree with Genin.

Listen to the song carefuly, Sasha says "Fuck You" instead of "Thank You".

General CommentErr... I'm agreeing with Genin as well on this one. It's (ALMOST) official that Adios was a song written for their fans when KMFDM decided to disband back in... uh... '99 or something I think? It's a VERY good song regardless of why it was written though and I've always thought Sascha DOES say 'Fuck you' in that song, but most sites with KMFDM lyrics on it have it down as 'thank you' O_O" Do I need my hearing checked?

General CommentI agee with all of you, the song can be a goodbye to the fans and also a song about someone telling off someone else after putting up with a bunch of crap.

Also, I think that there's often a difference with what a band will record and what's on the lyrics sheet they give the record company to print up. That's my two cents.

General CommentI definitely think this song is a goodbye to their fans, and I think it should be fairly obvious that Sascha says "Fuck you" at the end, because of this.
One of their main reasons for disbanding in '99 was that they felt that no one was getting their message, and if you look at the lyrics for the song, it seems like the song is wrtitten to the people who didn't practice what they preach, or just didn't GET KMFDM and their message.

General CommentUm.. this song is about how pissed off they were at what remained of WAXTRAX. Why the hell would a band who loved their fans yell "FUCK YOU!" to their fans? Other than live, which we all know is for fun... Seriously people, that album, apart from being their last as that stage of the band (before disbanding, becoming MDFMK for a disc and then turning back into KMFDM for Attak), was sort of a contractual obligation.
