Bleeding Heart Lyrics
Now I know that the end comes
You Knew since the beginning
Didin'y want to believe It's true
You are alone again
Why's the clock even running
If my world Isn't turning
Hear your voice In the doorway wind
You are alone again
I'm only Waiting
You tear into pieces my heart
before you leave with no repentance
I cried to you,my tears turn into blood
I'm ready to surrender
You say That I take it too hard
And all I ask Is comprehension
Bring back to you
A piece of my broken heart
I'm ready to surrender
I remember the moments
Life was short for the romance
Like a rose It will fade away
I'm leaving everything
No regrets,war is over
The return of a soldier
Put my hands on my Bleeding Heart
I'm leaving all behind
No longer waiting
I've waited for so long!
You Knew since the beginning
Didin'y want to believe It's true
You are alone again
If my world Isn't turning
Hear your voice In the doorway wind
You are alone again
I'm only Waiting
before you leave with no repentance
I cried to you,my tears turn into blood
I'm ready to surrender
You say That I take it too hard
And all I ask Is comprehension
Bring back to you
A piece of my broken heart
I'm ready to surrender
Life was short for the romance
Like a rose It will fade away
I'm leaving everything
The return of a soldier
Put my hands on my Bleeding Heart
I'm leaving all behind
No longer waiting

Taruto is mistaken, jessrox has the idea. I'll explain what I can:
"Now I know that the end comes You Knew since the beginning Didn't want to believe It's true You are alone again"
His relationship is over, perhaps she knew it wouldn't last forever, maybe she played or used him?
"Why's the clock even running If my world Isn't turning"
Very strong words. If you've had your heart broken, it really does feel like there's no point in living. You feel that life is over. Wonderful words here.
"Hear your voice In the doorway wind You are alone again I'm only Waiting"
He can't escape the emotions he's feeling. When you get your heart smashed or even if things just dont work out, you can still occasionally hear your lover's voice out of nowhere, or smell their perfume..no confusion with someone else, it's all a mental thing. I know, I've been through it all. But what he's waiting for, I'm not too sure..
"You tear into pieces my heart before you leave with no repentance I cried to you,my tears turn into blood I'm ready to surrender"
She broke is heart big time, and she didnt care at all. She didn't love him, but he loved her.
"You say That I take it too hard And all I ask Is comprehension Bring back to you A piece of my broken heart I'm ready to surrender"
Again, her coldness is expressed here. She says he takes it too hard, and all he wants is comprehension. He wants to know why she's broken his heart, because he doesnt know why.
"I remember the moments Life was short for the romance Like a rose It will fade away I'm leaving everything"
jessrox said, "Like a rose It will fade away - the memories will fade. Well yeah that was my belief anyway..". That's exactly it, the memories don't fade away, which means he isnt referring to the memories. He's referring to the romance, the feeling of those special intimate moments, the feeling that she loved him the way he loved her. But obviously she didnt, and that is what will fade away.
"No regrets, war is over The return of a soldier Put my hands on my Bleeding Heart I'm leaving all behind No longer waiting"
Here, jessrox is right. The soldiers and war is a metaphor. Used to describe the emotional "war" that rages inside of him probably. The whole song has a war theme to it though, which explains the "surrender". But this verse I don't quite understand either..
"I've waited for so long!"
I still don't understand what he's waiting for, and the surrender...is he going to kill himself? I'm not too sure. Make f it what you will I guess, I've done all i can. And yes this song kicks major balls.

I think he's waiting for her to return to him. The surrender part is maybe the moment realising he won't win her back, so he gives her up.

@magoichisaika The ending seems like he just realized he can't wait no longer I'm leaving all behind -> everything they built, family, friends, etc No longer waiting; I've waited for so long -> waited for her to change her mind

I've always thought of this as an "out of character" song from Angra but it's undoubtably my favourite. The story you can paint behind it is amazing. Even if the vocals are quite dry and possibly quite "stale", this only added to my vision - I pictured a weak character, on literally their last legs before dying. I've always seen it as the story of somebody dying from some kind of illness; their partner knew it all along, and didn't tell them they were going to die. As they lay dying, while they can't forgive their partner for not telling them, they still love them, and while they can't forgive, they realise why their partner kept it a secret. My favourite lines, and definately the most emotive, are "Why's the clock even running? If my world Isn't turning" and "Put my hands on my Bleeding Heart". These lines sum up the song completely.. a broken heart, life running out, their world stopping.
One of the first songs to inspire me, and probably, with the most influence. While this song is depressing and mentally weakening.. I'll never stop loving it.
I love this song ever since I first heard it funny enough only a few months back. I dont agree with Turato's statement on the meaning thou.. I believe the reference to war and soldiers is only a metaphor, and its more a broken heart/love song. You tear into pieces my heart before you leave with no repentance - no remorse to the way you've treateed someone.
Like a rose It will fade away - the memories will fade. Well yeah that was my belief anyway..
I love this song. I think it's like jess says about a broken heart.
Even though mago is right, I do see taruto's way of looking at the song, and I think it would be a lot more powerfull if it really was about this.
"No regrets, war is over The return of a soldier Put my hands on my Bleeding Heart I'm leaving all behind No longer waiting"
I think this refers to later in the story, when he is got over the love he had for her. He has no regrets, he enjoyed loving her. He fought and lost, and he is wounded, but he is leaving all that story behind, he is letting go of that one-way love he has for her, he's done waiting for things to get better.
"I've waited for so long!"
Here he just shows how much he was waiting, and wanting to stop loving her. I can relate to this bit, when you love someone and you break up, you still love them, and that brings pain, since you miss them and can't understand why.
