How Are The Weak Free Lyrics
They will hunt again.
With years to plan.
And sharpen their teeth.
But no one knows, no one knows.
Free the wolf from his cage.
Watch him hunt, stalk his prey.
We let them go.
They will hunt again.
Prey on the simple.
Feast in the temple.
Free the wolf?
We must put him down.
We'll put him down again.
Our protectors hide and grin.

Unless im crazy, I could swear I hear him say another line after the "and sharpen their teeth" part. It sounds like he says "To smile and walk free". If anyone could clarify, it would be great. That means you Darth Squirrel.
It reminds alot of Where blood and fire bring rest. Awesome song
this is my favorite song off Parade. and yes, i hear him say "to smile and walk free". i think its obvious what this song is about... the onyl part i dont understand is who the wolf is. some possibilities...Government, Satan, Hypocrits in teh church, or just stuck up pricks. whoever the wolf is, dan is not happy with him and everyone can probably find a "wolf" in their life to relate this song to.
I think its refering to demons, and their impact on our life. They deceive and prey on the simple, and if we let them in, they will tear apart the church as well. We must put them down again. Rise up against the wolf, or be consumed like mindless sheep.
This is by far the BEST zao song ever, out of all the CD's, i just cannot stop this song from playing through my computer, stereo, and my MIND! I recommend you buy the cd, just so that Zao gets some money from breaking up.....
The other part after he says and sharpen their teeth he says "to smile, and walk free...... but no one knows.... no one knows."
The first impression that I get from these lyrics is that it's a song about repeat offenders (murderers, rapists, molesters, etc.) that get released into society after serving time in their "cage" only to hunt the weak again. The line "we let them go" seems to be a slap in the face of the judicial system that lets these "wolves" back into society. The main reason that I lean toward this conclusion is that ZAO addresses many civil & social topics in their writings and this would fit right in with the others
Just another thought... it could also be directed toward the whole mess with the Catholic Priests ("feast in the temple") I do not know when these lyrics were written by ZAO so I'm not sure if this thought holds any water!
fall of the church?
