This song puts me in mind of some person simply missing someone they used to love. It's like- they know they shouldn't miss them, but it keeps creeping up in their mind.
Man, this song reminds me of my little sister's high school sweetheart named James (Jay) and had a very bad motorcycle accident. He survived, but suffered permanent brain damage... I remember him with this song because he and my sis used to play it all the time when it came out.
