I had a best friend 1000 miles away that told me this song made him think of me. He introduced me to John Prine music. All via the cell phone calls. I have been to Texas, Tennessee and Missouri to JP concerts. My friend who had a sad lonely life due to health and no job - died 5 years ago. I listened to his funeral service via a cell phone on the podium, 1000 miles away. They played You Got Gold........ this song has meaning and memories for me. I really miss my friend.
