Haha Happy Enchalada. You know what, I thought it said enchalada too. When i was younger i would hear "It's a half an enchalada" And i just thought "Wow, that makes no sence.." Until I got older i realised it was "A Half an Inch of Water" "OHHH That makes sence now" I love this song, though. It seems to be just a silly song. At least the ice part. It makes me laugh. The song is just about Life, and how each day brings you something different. You may be down in the dumps right now, but just wait a little bit, and your going to have better days. Life is random.

on john prine's live cd, he tells this story about how a woman came up to him at a show and asked him to sing the song about "the happy enchilada." finally it was revealed that she mistook the like "it's a half an inch of water" for "it's a happy enchilada."
yeap nothing like going to a John Prine concert ... you get go to hear him talk about his songs and life experiences. If you haven't ever seen him live make sure you do next time he comes in your neighbourhood ... heck I've flown 1/2 across the country to show my daughter him.
