Love Resurrection Lyrics
What can I do to make light of this dull dull
day
What switch can I pull to illuminate the way
Show me one direction
I will not question again
For a warm injection
Is all I need to calm the pain
We all need a love resurrection
Just a little divine intervention
We all need a love resurrection
Just a little divine intervention
What seed must I sow to replenish this barren
land
Teach me to harvest I want you to grow in my
hand
Lets be optimistic, lets say that we won't toil in
vain
If we pull together we'll never fall apart again
We all need a love resurrection
Just a little divine intervention
We all need a love resurrection
Just a little divine intervention
Show me one direction
I will not question again
For a warm injection
Is all I need to calm the pain
We all need a love resurrection.......
day
What switch can I pull to illuminate the way
Show me one direction
I will not question again
For a warm injection
Is all I need to calm the pain
Just a little divine intervention
We all need a love resurrection
Just a little divine intervention
land
Teach me to harvest I want you to grow in my
hand
Lets be optimistic, lets say that we won't toil in
vain
If we pull together we'll never fall apart again
Just a little divine intervention
We all need a love resurrection
Just a little divine intervention
I will not question again
For a warm injection
Is all I need to calm the pain

Someone searching for a new relationship who has been out of one for many years
Love resurrection is a song about sex, and the desire for sex. The title itself is is an allusion to 'erection' and lines within the song seem to imply the writer's frustration with a lover who cannot achieve one, ie. 'What seed must I sow To replenish this barren land Teach me to harvest, I want you to grow in my hand'. She needs a 'warm injection' which is a clear reference to sex.
To my mind, the religious references to the divine and to the Christian idea of resurrection are obvious. Even the video (set in a desert in Israel, apparently) plays with those ideas. The notion of the barren land in need of replenishment is also biblical.\n\nRather than sexuality, then, I think the singer longs for a renewed spiritual (or simply emotional) connection with her lover, rather than the death of her relationship.
