Believe It or Not Lyrics

Look at what's happened to me
I can't believe it myself
Suddenly I'm on top of the world
Shoulda been somebody else

Believe it or not I'm walking on air
I never thought I could feel so free
Flying away on a wing and a prayer
Who could it be?
Believe it or not it's just me

Just like the light of a new day
It hit me from out of the blue
Breaking me out of the spell I was in
Making all of my wishes come true

Believe it or not I'm walking on air
I never thought I could feel so free
Flying away on a wing and a prayer
Who could it be?
Believe it or not it's just me

Who could it be?
Believe it or not it's just me

Hmm... that last comment was classic. Haha " The drummer loves drugs and anal" LOL

But seriously, had this song in my head as soon as i woke up this morning. Pretty annoying but hey... i don't mind an 80s moment every now and then. Rock on.

Umm... yeah, whatever, davisonfire1.

But simply put: It's about just suddenly feeling really, really good. (:

davisonfire1 wtf are you talking about you idiot this song wasn't even written by scarbury he was simply chosen to perform it. it was written by mike post as a 1 min short song for the opening sequence to the show "greatest american hero" and with the show popularity was extended into a full length song. It's about the TV show nothing else. Take your homophobic crap somewhere else this song has nothing to do with being gay or aids.

Oh and for the record Joey Scarbury isn't even gay or dead and he doesn't have Aids so I suggest you try knowing something bout a song before you comment :rolls eyes:

It's about how a guy was once depressed but then ends up happy and finds it hard to believe!

My Interpretation
Cover art for Believe It or Not lyrics by Joey Scarbury

I was sickened to discover this song was about his first homosexual encounter.

I mean the modesty of the man impressed me, i imagined in my own naive mind that this bloke was working at a supermarket store and dreamed of one day rising throught the ranks. But no! It was about AIDS... god damn aids.. I guess the song does have a certain irony.

I wanna smash his face in with a beer bottle in the supermarket car park while he waits for his wife to arrive in his simple minded station wagon.

The man is a cock and loves chicken wings after going to church with his abnoxious cap wearing son, thus the line 'flying away on a wing and a prayer'.

I wish aids ravaged his body before the song could be released.

In addition i want to rip the strings off the fucken horrible electric guitar and garrote the remaining band members.

The drummer loves drugs and anal

@dadavisonfire1 You are such a moron ... this song is a theme from Greatest American Hero that's it Can you prove your allegations?? If not please feel free to shut the fuck up

@davisonfire1 I want garrote you sad fuck
