Where Are You Now Lyrics
All alone tonight, I'm calling out your name
Somewhere deep inside this part of you remains
Images of love take me back in time
I don't know how it started or why it ever had to end
But something stepped inside we didn't let it in
It's keeping us apart, where are you now
CHORUS:
Where are you now? Is someone there tonight
Holding what was mine?
Where are you now? Do you wonder where I am,
Are you really feelin' fine?
Goin' through my life without you by my side
You're the only thing that keeps goin' through my mind
And nothin' that I do can take the place of you
CHORUS
Oooh, thinkin' about you, girl,
There's gotta be a place for me
Somewhere in your heart
All alone tonight, I'm calling out your name
Somewhere deep inside this part of you remains
Images of love, where are you now?
CHORUS
Where are you now? Is someone there tonight
Holding what was mine?
Where are you now? Do you wonder where I am,
I need you here tonight
Somewhere deep inside this part of you remains
Images of love take me back in time
But something stepped inside we didn't let it in
It's keeping us apart, where are you now
Where are you now? Is someone there tonight
Holding what was mine?
Where are you now? Do you wonder where I am,
Are you really feelin' fine?
You're the only thing that keeps goin' through my mind
And nothin' that I do can take the place of you
There's gotta be a place for me
Somewhere in your heart
Somewhere deep inside this part of you remains
Images of love, where are you now?
Holding what was mine?
Where are you now? Do you wonder where I am,
I need you here tonight

One part of the song that bugs me is when he says"something stepped inside,we didn't let it in,its keeping us apart" Well obviously you let it in or it wouldn't be keeping you apart now would it!

A song that could only have been written pre facebook/twitter/my space/etc/etc/etc.
This ballad has existed like... forever. ;)
Ok, ok... just since the 80's... but in my mind has existed as long as I can remember.
Nothing new on the lyrics, just an pleasant melody... but as simple as it sounds, so simply true too.
Who hasn't thought what happened to some former love? Is she/he/(it?) happy, sad? Does she remember you at all (and in what sentiment) Is she even alive? Do I really want to know these answers?
As far as I concern, mine got married, and that's as far as I want to know ;)
I first heard this song when I was 9 and I'm 28 now and still remember it to this day.Its just too bad the radio never plays it! I put it on my itunes so I will have it forever!
