Pretty self-explainatory. its about a girl falling in love with a rock star.
I seem to recall hearing that some guy sent Nancy Wilson a fan letter...and this was the result.
Saw them live one summer and they said it was taken from a letter that they received from a girl that had seen them perform and the song is about the effect that they had on her.
It's almost like she is mocking someone who she thinks is conceited (another performer perhaps), so they gave him a nickname to make fun of him. Maybe he's one of those guys who likes to take on a wacky persona for the stage (someone like David Bowie or Alice Cooper) and she is mocking the pretension of his performance by calling him Bebe Le Strange. That said, she can't help feeling attracted to this person because of the fact that he's so weird and "out there," which is a thing that seems to work on some women.
It could also just be a song about a fan letter they received.
I also thought it was about the groupie Bebe Buell. Hmmm ...
The title is French for "The Strange Baby".
