Living Alone Lyrics
I'm not up for going out
At least not with the current crowd
That you're hanging out with
And this is just to prove a point
Without saying it out loud
You've said we'd need to leave town
And I'm not going to dignify
That question with an answer
No, I'm not going to dignify
That question with an answer
As there are not too many things
That I think you won't understand
As there are not too many things
That I think you won't understand
I think I have the right to grow
And that derives from living alone
I think I have the right to grow
I'm sorry if I haven't said "I'm sorry" to you
But that was coming later
And I'm sorry if things haven't started to improve
But that, I promise, is never assumed
I think I have the right to grow
And that derives from living alone
I think I have the right to grow
And that's the only price for living alone...
At least not with the current crowd
That you're hanging out with
And this is just to prove a point
Without saying it out loud
You've said we'd need to leave town
That question with an answer
No, I'm not going to dignify
That question with an answer
That I think you won't understand
As there are not too many things
That I think you won't understand
And that derives from living alone
I think I have the right to grow
But that was coming later
And I'm sorry if things haven't started to improve
But that, I promise, is never assumed
And that derives from living alone
I think I have the right to grow

i really like this song - the first 2 lines def describe the way i feel about one of my friends. i tried to get the lyrics right but i couldn't tell what he was mumbling. i did try though!
this was the first song i ever heard by koufax, and for two weeks i went around singing "i think i have the right to vote." i so thought it was a political song. this isn't so bad considering i thought for three weeks that chris conely was saying "if i farted at your house, do you think you'd make it out?" in At Your Funeral. anybody got some q-tips?
farted at your house?!?! LOL!
not very good listener are we?
OK, first of all it is "and that derives from living alone". and then it says " I'm sorry if I haven't said I'm sorry to you..." Finally, it is "and that's the only price for living alone" I don't understand your lyrical suppositions...they aren't even logical.
