No Time To Cry Lyrics
It's just a feeling
I get sometimes
A feeling
Sometimes
And I get frightened
Just like you
I get frightened too
but it's...
CHORUS
(no no no) No time for heartache
(no no no) No time to run and hide
(no no no) No time for breaking down
(no no no) No time to cry
Sometimes in the world as is you've
Got to shake the hand that feeds you
It's just like Adam says
It's not so hard to understand
It's just like always coming down on
Just like Jesus never came and
What did you expect to find
It's just like always here again it's...
CHORUS
Everything will be alright
Everything will turn out fine
Some nights I still can't sleep
And the voices pass with time
And I keep
[repeat]
No time for tears
No time to run and hide
No time to be afraid of fear
I keep no time to cry
CHORUS
I get sometimes
A feeling
Sometimes
And I get frightened
Just like you
I get frightened too
but it's...
(no no no) No time to run and hide
(no no no) No time for breaking down
(no no no) No time to cry
Got to shake the hand that feeds you
It's just like Adam says
It's not so hard to understand
It's just like always coming down on
Just like Jesus never came and
What did you expect to find
It's just like always here again it's...
Everything will turn out fine
Some nights I still can't sleep
And the voices pass with time
And I keep
[repeat]
No time for tears
No time to run and hide
No time to be afraid of fear
I keep no time to cry

First verse is basically just saying that the narrator gets frightened sometimes, followed by the chorus that that tells us he doesn't whine/cry about it.
First two lines of the second verse are a play on "don't bite the hand that feeds you." The narrator is saying that in this world you've got to thank the people that help you. So he's making it clear that people need help to get through things in their life, and he's not above that, he just isn't going to let it bring him down for very long and he's not going to cry about it.
The next lines are saying that it isn't hard to understand just like it isn't hard to understand that everything is "always coming down" through gravity and wear and tear, nothing lasts forever or that (in the narrator's opinion) it isn't hard to understand that Jesus never came.
The last two lines of the second verse are talking about the chorus and about how predictable it is that the chorus would return at that point. I mean, "What did you expect to find?"
The last verse just explains that, with time, everything will be alright, and, though sometimes times are painful, the narrator refuses to break down,
same,I heard the COF cover first and I had to check on the original. It was tha first time I ever listened to sisters of mercy (murder me) , and I felt amazed!COF's version is of course heavier but it lacks so much in background guitars..In the original the amazing vocals of Andrew Eldritch overwhelm you....
this is a kickass song. i heard the Cradle of Filth version and i had to download the original. i think it's self explanitory
yea, same here. heard the cover first. awesome song.
well, the same here, heard the CoF version first, and i really liked that so i had to download the original, and now Sisters of Mercy is my absolutely favourite group, amazing songs, all of them. :)
I think severance's interpretation is way too literal. This song seems to be pretty clearly about the depression denial and terror of staring down the barrell of a life without a former lover, and resolving to find the strength to carry on, though he does tie in other sentiments too
This song is about the actual Emotional Strength everyone has inside of themselves.. Andrew is quite a powerful singer. And carries his emotions over to you the one listing in a powerful voice. You translate your own emotions through this and his music...
The emphasis is on the"But it's" just before the chorus. ..
[Chorus:] (no no no) No time for heartache (no no no) No time to run and hide (no no no) No time for breaking down (no no no) No time to cry
This enforces you to think about suckling it all up and then to move forward.
Andrew places a positive message of trust into your own emotions to then believe that...
Everything will be alright Everything will turn out fine Some nights I still can't sleep And the voices pass with time And I keep
Here he provides you with the answer to your problems .. he provides you faith on how to pull it all together.
Just like he would have sorted it out for himself emotionally.
It's just a feeling I get sometimes A feeling Sometimes
He too gets emotional. .. he too has that feeling one gets when his emotions speak out... sometimes!
Andrew Eldritch is like Chuck Norris because Chuck Norris can never be like Andrew Eldritch!
