Acceptance (phase I) Lyrics

I won't fight for a cause that's been lost when we gave up our nature, denial
Too many faces are glowing with pride and assurance, but it's their loss
Don't you see?
The skyscrapers
They're too big to bring down
Awareness of our conditioning is slowly seeping, leaking
The cracks that we've made in the temple of want do seem useless
But it's their loss
Don't you see
The Skyscrapers
They're too big to bring down
Step away
The mind rapers
They will drown in their greed
Stop the want
Don't you see
The skyscrapers
They're too big to bring down
Step away
The mind rapers
They will drown in their greed
Stop the want
Don't you see
The skyscrapers
They're too big to bring down
Step away
The mind rapers
They will drown in their greed
Stop the want
Don't let it fuck with you
Stop the want
Don't let it fuck with you.

I think that Pulse Ultra are condemning the patriotism that was running rampant after 9/11. They are saying that the tragedy shouldn't have been the reason Americans are patriotic, that the "the skyscrapers are too big to bring down", and that we need to quit using that as our rallying point, as too many of the "mind rapers" are doing. I think.

Very cool interpretation Dark Silver, never originally thought of it that way, but it makes very good sense.

My intial interpretation of this song was that it was about consumerism and how we've been conditioned (by the "mind rapers" which are most likey the corporations that own huge skyscrapers) to want things just for the sake of having them. It's basically a message to not get caught in this cycle of greed and conformity.

Both those make good sense, but I think I see self destruct's.The skyscrapes are representing corporations (they're ususally in big office buildings), but I see the mind rapers as the corporations but they're brainwashing us to buy their product or whatever they might be selling.

The band said this song is not about 9-11. They wrote the song before the 9-11 trajedy, and it's a pure coincidence that the lyrics match up so well! But they said you can take it any way you like.
