Hold On Im Comin Lyrics
Don't you ever feel sad,
Lean on me when times are bad.
When the day comes and you're down,
In a river of trouble and about to drown
Just hold on, I'm comin',
Hold on, I'm comin'.
I’m goin' my way, your lover.
If you get cold I’ll be your cover.
Don't have to worry `cause I’m here,
No need to suffer baby, I’m here.
'cause hold on, I’m comin',
hold on, I’m comin'.
hold on, I’m comin',
hold on, I’m comin'.
reach out to me for satisfaction,
call my name now for quick reaction.
Don't you ever feel sad,
lean on me when times are bad.
when the day comes and you're down,
in a river of trouble and about to drown,
just hold on, I’m comin',
hold on, I’m comin'.
just hold on, I’m comin',
hold on, I’m comin'.
just hold on, I’m comin',
hold on, I’m comin'.
Lean on me when times are bad.
When the day comes and you're down,
In a river of trouble and about to drown
Hold on, I'm comin'.
If you get cold I’ll be your cover.
Don't have to worry `cause I’m here,
No need to suffer baby, I’m here.
hold on, I’m comin'.
hold on, I’m comin',
hold on, I’m comin'.
call my name now for quick reaction.
lean on me when times are bad.
when the day comes and you're down,
in a river of trouble and about to drown,
hold on, I’m comin'.
hold on, I’m comin'.
hold on, I’m comin'.

Funky, I should know
This song never gets tired.
... I`m still waiting
Well it's pretty obvious this song is about pre-mature ejaculation. The narrator is a female about to reach orgasm and she doesn't want her partner to .. 'arrive' first and tire out before she can orgasm.
.. Obviously.

oh man, nobody has mentioned how "Hold on, I'm coming" is about getting out of the bathroom--
"The men's restroom in the theater-turned studio had tile walls and tile floors. To produce reverb and echo a speaker from the studio was placed in the mens room to pipe the sound into the men's room; and a microphone was placed in the men's room to return the sound back to the recording studio. This arrangement produced both the reverb and echo heard on Stax Records. One night, as Sam and Dave were recording, Dave had to stop and make a trip to the men's room. When Dave took a little longer than what Isaac Hayes thought was necessary. He yelled at Dave to "hurry up!" Dave heard him on the speaker in the men's room and replied, "Hold on; I'm coming". With a few additions this became the title track of the album, and a hit for Sam and Dave."
This song is soooo emotive.
For me, it's about about the expression of male bravado and machismo that are somewhat enhanced when you are in love with someone.
Love it ! And so does the wife
Thank you Stax, Sam&Dave, Isaac Hayes et al
