This song is incredible. This band manages to steer clear of sounding like every other band writing about how the world hates them or the girl you couldn't get. I'm probalby the biggest fan of this band out there, and I'm proud to say that.

george mallory was a guy that tried (or maybe did?) climb mt. everest, but either on the way up or the way down he died. great song. gab kicks! and gatsby's american dream is prolly one of the top 3 band names out there.
GAD are making a point of how mainstream american dreams can be so stupid and take over your life, values, and priorities. like this dude George who gave away his family to pursue his dream, and he died, and im sure in retrospect, it wasnt worth it...considering hes dead and now he left a widow and his children and the rest of his life cut short.
kinda funny, my dad used to be an extreme mountain climber but my mom made him quit when my brother and i were born cause it is too dangerous of a hobbie. and he stopped. though now we all mountain climb together,not cliffs and shit like that
