One Summer Pour

The air had been damp from the evening rain and I slipped walking out your front door. It was almost three in the morning when I left your house and I never felt so right. It's ironic I've held out for something so long and tonite I've had everything I've ever dreamed of. "Can I kiss you" were the words I've held in for the last year. I don't know how I came thru last night, maybe it's lack of sleep or that you never looked so beautiful but as I walked out the door I knew that if the time wasn't right now it may never be.
