Married Men Lyrics
With wives who never understand
They're looking for someone to share
The excitement of a love affair
Just as soon as they find you
They wine you and dine you
You fly on the wings of romance
But in the eyes of the world
You're just another crazy girl
Who loves a married man
And you've got to keep it
As long as you can
No don't cry for your lover
There's always another married man
The world is full of married men
But his wife will still be number one
He promises to marry you
Just as soon as his divorce
Comes through
And it's not just a fling
He swears it's the real thing
A love that could last till the end
As he's driving away
You know it's true what they say
About married men
They do it again and again
They do it, they do it, they do it
They do it, married men
Gets too hot to handle
He'll say I just want to be friends
They he'll walk out of your life
He'll go home to his wife
'Cause he's a married man
And you've got to keep it
As long as you can
No don't cry for your lover
There's always another married man
The world is full of married men
They do it again and again
They do it, they do it, they do it
They do it, married men
And go home to his wife
A married man
There's always another married man
They do it again and again
They do it, they do it, they do it
They do it, married men....repeat and fade

Interesting take on adultry, but it's a tad bit arrogant..."There's always another married man. The world is full of married men." She at least doens't make herself sound as a victim, but with the latter she sounds like a perpetrator. There's no line in the song about the pain an affar causes the wife (and children). Don't care for the lyrics, but appreciate the artist for her musical talent. I attract lesbians and married men; both don't interest me, but I suppose it's the thought that counts:)
I listen to this song via Youtube whenever a certain married man sends me texts, etc. Yesterday it was "The snow is falling outside just for you,_____" with the usual smiley faces. I never respond except for conversing through FB. I'd laugh about it if the images of his young wife and two young children didn't come flooding into my mind each time he texts; calls; and flirts online. Why anyone would want to cheat on another I don't understand; I imagine it's so incredibly painful when the married partner nears of it.
