Tides Lyrics
France has carried out the first of a planned series of underground nuclear tests
At Modoroah Atoll in the South Pacific
The French defence ministry said the magnitude of the explosion
Was aproximately the same as the bomb dropped on Hiroshima

the song itself is an instrumental.. and VERY BEAUTIFUL.
the spoken intro.. well.. listening to it kinda scares and confuses me, but when I look at the words on HERE, it makes me think of World War II.. or the period just after then, because, yes, they did do LOTS of nuclear bomb testing in the 40's and 50's, but not just France either.
all in all, the song is beautiful and relaxing and haunting.
India too has joined the worlds superpowers and purchased arms and nuclear weapons....Nitins' despair is of his ancestral homeland (he is a British Asian) joining, possibly, that race for destruction. The Hindu ethic is peace and understanding and you can see and feel there is a sense of irony here. Is India the last place on Earth to find nuclear weapons??? I sense his despair, i also see why tides was used...The tides carry energies from other continents. So sad, but please dont Westernise the East.
Something about this tune makes me uncomfortable.. lol
