This Candle

This candle is lonely and will not burn.
She stands alone in a corner and watches;
She watches as her friends find love, one by one
She watches as the rain falls down outside
She watches as she’s loved by none
She watches as she loses pride
This candle was once so beautiful
She shined and sparkled and burned so bright
But now this candle has grown to be alone
And the nothings and the no ones have extinguished her light.
