A Shame Lyrics

You are afraid to say it's true reality escapes you
Time after time you try to prove to yourself you're right
But your ways are not the way how long do you have to play
This game before you see I'm right it's not just a game it's a fight
You're afraid to hold out your hand don't be afraid to take a stand

Chorus

It's a shame to be ashamed
To be ashamed of the One that we should glorify

You are afraid of the price you'll pay will you be strong or walk away
You're reasons are runnin' thin all that's left to do is give in
Inside this generation of sin there's only one place to begin
And it's at the starting line or you will be left behind

You say it's hard to believe in something you can't see
A choice you make today will affect you eternally
Now I'm here to stay
And I've made a change
And I won't go away
From the One who gave live

this song is talking about someone who is ashamed 2 b associated with Christ, and how in fact being 'ashamed of the One that we should glorify' in fact separates them from God.

This is an amazing song. It really got me to think about it's really "a shame" to be ashamed of Christ - the One who created the WORLD and who LOVES us more than ANYTHING else!

I think Pillar is a very talented, very edgy band. The message in this song is sort of hidden, but when discovered is ok. I do have one problem with them though. If you werm to to visit their website, you would be hardpressed to find so much a hint that would link them to Christ. I was kind of disappointed. The question is, are the ashamed?

Hey, dectective dipshit, those birds flying around on their webpage are'nt just random symbols. They're doves. Look on the cover of a few bibles. the message should be a little clearer afterwards.

Thank you for the reply! I see the doves you speak of. Pillar still hides the truth, and what you said really does not address what I was speaking of. I think they want to have their cake and eat it to. I think they want to build an image with both "sides". -Jeremy

Pillar is indeed a great band and I agree that the song is about how we should not be ashamed of the one we should glorify do not be ashamed to glorify God.
