Tell Me Lyrics
You can't tell me, you can't tell me
You can't tell me anything
I love only me, I love only me
I've got the answers to everything
There's only me, so suggest what I do
I am the garage flower
I don't need to stare, 'cause I know everywhere
And there's a place for me anywhere
Tell me, tell me
You tell me anything
You can't tell, you won't tell
Me anything, anything
I love only me, I love only me
I've got the answers to everything
I don't need to stare, 'cause I know everywhere
And there's a place for me anywhere
Tell me, tell me
You tell me anything
You can't tell, you won't tell
Me anything, anything
Tell me, tell me
You tell me anything
Tell me, tell me
You can't tell us anything
You can't tell, you won't tell
Me anything, anything
((???))
I am the garage flower
I am the garage flower
You can't tell me anything
I've got the answers to everything
I am the garage flower
And there's a place for me anywhere
You tell me anything
You can't tell, you won't tell
Me anything, anything
I've got the answers to everything
I don't need to stare, 'cause I know everywhere
And there's a place for me anywhere
You tell me anything
You can't tell, you won't tell
Me anything, anything
You tell me anything
Tell me, tell me
You can't tell us anything
Me anything, anything
I am the garage flower

This song is pure asshole. Like, screw the lot of ya, I'm the man, you don't like that then get fucked.
I love it,
only one comment? WHAT? typical teenage rebellion. great tune.
"This song is pure asshole. Like, screw the lot of ya, I'm the man, you don't like that then get fucked.

Don't know why you would. Simplistic and pointless, poor lyrics that say absolutely nothing.
inpraiseoffolly, all lyrics say something. whether you understand or relate to them or not. just because you don't like something, doesn't mean it doesn't mean anything to the rest of the world.
the lyrics arent the stone roses best, i will admit. ian's voice is however terrific in this, and the tune is catchy and happy.
maybe ian didn't need to say much more than that in this song. going into too much detail isn't what the songs about. it's about saying your piece and fucking off. repetition is also linked with the teenage "nothing can change my mind" sort of view.
sometimes simplicity is better, never heard that phrase, inpraiseoffolly?
