I was angry with my friend
I told my wrath, my wrath did end
I was angry with my foe
I told it not, my wrath did grow
And I watered it in fears
Night and morning with my tears
And I sunned it with smile
And with soft deceitful wiles
And sometimes I
See magpie
And it grew both day and night
Till it bore an apple bright
And my foe beheld it shine
And he knew that it was mine
And into my garden stole
When the night had veiled the pole
In the morning, glad, I see
My foe outstretched beneath the tree
And sometimes I
See magpie
And sometimes I
See magpie
I was angry with my friend
I told my wrath, my wrath did end
I was angry with my foe
I told it not, my wrath did grow
And I watered it in fears
Night and morning with my tears
And I sunned it with smile
And with soft deceitful wiles
And sometimes I
See magpie
And sometimes I
See magpie
And sometimes I
See magpie
And sometimes I
See magpie
I told my wrath, my wrath did end
I was angry with my foe
I told it not, my wrath did grow
Night and morning with my tears
And I sunned it with smile
And with soft deceitful wiles
See magpie
Till it bore an apple bright
And my foe beheld it shine
And he knew that it was mine
When the night had veiled the pole
In the morning, glad, I see
My foe outstretched beneath the tree
See magpie
See magpie
I told my wrath, my wrath did end
I was angry with my foe
I told it not, my wrath did grow
Night and morning with my tears
And I sunned it with smile
And with soft deceitful wiles
See magpie
And sometimes I
See magpie
And sometimes I
See magpie
And sometimes I
See magpie

Catchy song! :D
What I'm getting at is a Magpie bird is eating all his apples (lol) and he uses his trickery (wiles) and somehow poisons one and then when the Magpie eats it, it dies. And then he's happy?
I don't know, I'm probably completely wrong.
sorry mattjames, you are!
its a william blake poem called 'a poison tree', the only bit damon wrote is the chorus.
