Got a car...
Got some gas...
Oh get me out of here,
Get out of here fast.
Everyone's confused,
I see 'em from my room.
I wanna go,
But I don't want to go alone.
I hope you get this message
When you're not home
I could be there in 28 minutes or so.
You don't have to take no offense.
We'll make it up as we go.
If I go,
I don't want to go...
Alone.
With you...
I could never...
Feel alone
Got some gas...
Oh get me out of here,
Get out of here fast.
Everyone's confused,
I see 'em from my room.
I wanna go,
But I don't want to go alone.
I hope you get this message
When you're not home
I could be there in 28 minutes or so.
You don't have to take no offense.
We'll make it up as we go.
If I go,
I don't want to go...
Alone.
With you...
I could never...
Feel alone

Ah, forgot to mention this is from Washington DC live CD. It may also appear on other live CD's, but this is the only one I know of.
It's on Philly too...the words are a little different, but nonetheless...i love this song.
This song is actually used as an intro to pearl jams song "MFC"...they usually play this song right before they play MFC live, sometimes they dont though. The song is a really slowed down version of MFC, and when they go into MFC they just speed it up, its really rad. This song is on Live On Two Legs, the live PJ recording from 98, check it out.
I love this song. I've got the LOTL version which is different to this one. I take it as kind of an anti-love song. I don't mean a hate song, but a love song that ignores the usual melodramatic stuff and tells it like it is.
I think they'd be the same versions, you just might have some of the lyrics messed up. Here's the lyrics:
Got a car I got some gas Oh, let's get out of here Get out of here fast Oh, everyone's confused So I stay in my room If I go, I don't want to go alone I hope you get this message Oh, you're not home I could be there in 10 minutes or so Oh, I got my things We'll make it up as we go along Oh, with you, I could never be alone Never be alone.
This song is so so pretty. I always skipped it for so long. Then I started listening to it recently. It made me cry when I actually say down and listened to it. I think it's one of the sweetest songs I've ever heard. "Oh with you, I could never be alone"
great song i want to cover it with my band (when i form one lol) a;though theres a million PJ song i want to cover
does anybody have a copy of this song that they could send me? i can't find it anywhere online or on any cd's. :) michelle32110@yahoo.com
I thought this would be referring to the untitled track on Yield, which had no lyrics, buuut since people say it's the same song...
Anyways, I want to contribute by commenting on how people think this is a "filler" track. Well, I would like to say that, when speaking of Pearl Jam, there are NO filler tracks, but rather "experimental transitional" tracks. ^^
How can it simply be called filler if there is actual thought put into the writing of these tracks?

How can they simply be called "filler" if there is actual thought put into the writing of these tracks? On their album Vitalogy there are plenty of numbers that are short, strange and seemingly pointless, but they aren't filler because if they weren't there, the album would sound completely different! Think about it!
