Till We Have Faces Lyrics
in photographs we define ourselves
beneath the blanket of fashion
the things we fear the most
are caught by our eyes in the mirror
we will decompose
until we have faces,
identity abides
in what we claim is the truth,
till fact and faith collide
until we have faces,
my heart is set on you,
but time adn time again,
my eyes believe in lies
to desire and dread a war we can't explain
one fights to remember
another to forget himself
A face we own forever,
but a heart can always change
beneath the blanket of fashion
the things we fear the most
are caught by our eyes in the mirror
we will decompose
identity abides
in what we claim is the truth,
till fact and faith collide
my heart is set on you,
but time adn time again,
my eyes believe in lies
one fights to remember
another to forget himself
but a heart can always change

i think this is also about vanity i love that they are so into that and they don't care about what they look like and like to take care of everyone...this song takes care of me in so many ways
it may have something to do with "Til we have faces" by C.S. Lewis (book)
What I got out of the book by C.S. Lewis was. We don't know anything in complete. We only see a small portion of what are life means. and God in general. We won't know him totally till we get to heaven. I think noise ratchets singing about trying to make it through life and such until then.
1 cor 13:12 now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
ooh ooh! it's exactly like that verse. i mean fact and faith collide, when we see Jesus in heaven, faith that we had on earth will meet with fact. and we will have both.. or only fact? because faith in heaven wont be needed anymore.
Someone correct me... but "A face we own forever, but a heart can always change" is just like the fact and faith. it's like.. face, when we reach heaven, we've always had that, we've always had salvation and Jesus. But our hearts always stray and do wrong.
"photographs we define ourselves beneath the blanket of fashion the things we fear the most are caught by our eyes in the mirror we will decompose"
we carry a different idea of how we really are. we pretend like photos are who we are or fasion. and we are afraid to see who we really are. ehh? i am not sure about this idea yet.
