it was the soundtrack to the movie species im not sure if it was actually writen for it though. anyway its a great song from a great band and its obviously about a guy so transfixed by a girl he thinks she cant be real or she is an evil thing trying to tempt him to the devil or whatever, well thats the metaphore for how amazing she is. and in the case of the movie the lyrics are to be taken quite literally.
isnt the lyric 'the female of the species is more deadlier than the male'? the most annoying grammatical error in the history of the world perhaps, but im certain thats the lyric.

I think it says "deadly" not "deadlier", but I could be wrong. Either way I like it.
Can I just say that a non-standard use of grammar is still an acceptable form of English...stop being so pedantic and nit picking for faults!! I love this song...deadly or deadlier either way its a really good song...I love the way Tommy Scott can really set the scene in his songs...great
hehe i first heard this song on a rugrats advert when i was younger it somehow became one of those songs you just remember, even though i only heard the 'shock shock horror horror' bit. cool song

it says deadly not deadlier. sometimes Franny holds bits of words you would not expect so that may be why some people are getting confused.
I remember that advert for the Rugrats but I had the album before that so I knew what the song was. I should probably buy Spiders on CD because the tape is all worn out.
