I Love My Dog

i love, i love this song. sublime's one of the few bands that can do a serious song about a dog and it could still kick ass. but then again, it's not just any dog, it's lou.

This is based off "I Luv I Jah" by Bad Brains.

Same basic feel to it, although BB made it really aggressive near the end.

It's PMA (positive mental attitude), not PLA. He spells it out in one of the live versions.

yeah it is PMA, and i'm pretty sure he says "gotta keep him from goin' stray", instead of gotta keep it goin' straight.

These lyrics are definitely off. It's "Got to keep him from going STRAY" -Also, its "PMA" (Positive Mental Attitude) Nonetheless, amazing song. No metapphoric meaning, not that I know of. Seemingly a simple sincere ode to man's best friend.

Cover of Bad Brains' I Luv I Jah. It's pretty obvious that he wrote it about his dog instead of Jah. He just took the song and changed the lyrics, which is fine with me. The thing I didn't like was they actually put an I Love My Dog Dub on Everything Under the Sun, which made no sense because there were already very few lyrics in I Love My Dog.
