Purevil Lyrics

In an ivory room, against an ivory wall, is crouched a shadow and I clash. In an ivory room within the ivory walls there is a crimson stain in the cracks.
If this is cleanliness, if this is clean, if this true righteousness is not obscene, then I am pure. Across a white floor upon the porcelain glow there lies an animal and it cries. Beneath the white floor, beneath the porcelain glow therein a secret lies and it's black.

I dig son of sam and this is probably one of my favorite songs of theirs. it has a lot of meaning for me. about the ivory wall in the ivory room and how "I clash" it reminds me of how i don't fit in with my skweaky clean family. they think i'm purevil. hahahaha

Davey Havoks a fuckin genius and this band is a punk/hardcore allstars line-up. Very graphic song.

I love this song. I think it's my favorite on the CD. It has a nice sound and a great meaning, as all songs written by Davey Havok do.

Needafix, please dont say that, wether your anti-christian or not, this isnt the place to make your stand.

As for the song, about existing in contrast to the elegedly pure and unison world.
