A love song written by the band's guitarist Andy Scott based on an idea from their sound man and some time pianist Trevor Griffin There's no truth in the rumour that the line 'There's a rumour going around the town that you don't want me around' deals with the band planning to sack singer Brian Connolly even though he was fired less than a year after the track was recorded.
all-time favorite song. ever. It doesn't seem to be very well known, but sweet really is an amazing band, great harmonics and everything. In fact, I want to know how they did those cool bass voices. Does anyone in that band really sound like that??
I heard it on the radio a long time ago which inspired me to check out their greatest hits album from the library.
Seems to me the song is about a break up. He must of broke up with her and now he realizes how lonely it is without her. The love is gone and he feels depressed and like he is dying inside.
