"The Zephyr Song" as written by and Chad G Smith Michael Peter Balzary....
Can I get your hand to write on
Just a piece of leg to bite on
What a night to fly my kite on
Do you want to flash your light on

Take a look
It's on display for you
Coming down
No, not today

Did you meet your fortune teller
Get it off with no propeller
Do it up, it's on with Stella
What a way to finally smell her

Pick it up
If not too strong for you
Take a piece
And pass it on

Fly away on my zephyr
I feel it more than ever
And in this perfect weather
We'll find a place together

Fly on my wind
Rebel and a liberator
Find a way to be a skater
Rev it up to levitate her
Super friendly aviator

Take a look
It's on display for you
Coming down
No, not today

Fly away on my zephyr
I feel it more than ever
And in this perfect weather
We'll find a place together

In the water where I center my emotion
All the world can pass me by
Fly away on my zephyr
We'll find a place together

(Whoa) whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa - do you
(Yeah) yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
(Whoa) whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa - want to
(Yeah) yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Fly away on my zephyr
I feel it more than ever
And in this perfect weather
We'll find a place together

In the water where I center my emotion
All the world can pass me by
Fly away on my zephyr
We're gonna live forever

Forever

General CommentI don't get why so many people try to see how a song is about drugs. I know that often the interpretation is down to the listener, but in this case I just fail to see how it can possibly be about drugs.

Can I get your hand to write on - perhaps writing a phone number (as in "call me if you want to come with me"), perhaps just to hold his love's hand
Just a piece of lead to bite on
What am I to fly my kite on - kites need wind to fly; he wants the zephyr to come, not to fly his kite, but to sweep him away from the troubles of this world
Do you want to flash your light on - perhaps this could be as a signal to mean "I want to come with you". Perhaps the man's love has already gone away on a zephyr, and the man wants to join her; for the time being, because they are so far away, they need to use something like flashing lights to communicate.
Take a look its on display - for you - he's giving his love an offer, and a choice
Coming down no not today - he doesn't want to end the bliss of love; perhaps it means that love can't be rushed

Did you meet your fortune teller
Get it off with no propellor - flying, but they don't need machines to do so
Do it up its always stellar - stellar refers to stars; it could mean they are flying so high they can see the stars up close; perhaps it means he thinks his love is a star to him, guiding him like the stars in the night sky
What a way to finally smell her - often we remember someone by how they smelled (think of people smelling a lost loved one's clothes to bring back the memories). Also to smell someone, you need to be up close to that person.
Pick it up its not to strong - for you - he wants it to be just right for his love
Take a piece and pass it on

Fly away on my zephyr - he wants the zephyr to carry him and his love away from the troubles of this world
I feel it more then ever - he feels the strong sense of bliss growing stronger as he is now alone with his love, with no worries at all
And in this perfect weather - he wants everything to be perfect for his love; he wants only the best for her
Well find a place together - he wants to be with her, together
Fly on my wing - he wants to have the freedom of being able to fly away, and wants to share that freedom with his love

Rebel and liberator - he doesn't care about the rules anymore, because he knows that he is going to be free from the old world
Find a way to be a skater
Rev it up to levitator - he wants to be just floating away
Super mainly aviator - he just wants to fly away
Take a look its on display - for you
    Coming down no not today

    Fly away on my zephyr
I feel it more then ever
    And in this perfect weather
    Well find a place together
In the water where the scent of my emotion - perhaps the "water" is like an oasis, a small patch of bliss in the midst of the harshness of reality; it is this oasis that he longs for
All the world will pass me by - he doesn't care about anything except himself and his love, and the intense feelings of bliss and peacefulness
    Fly away on my zephyr
    Well find a place together

Were gonna live forever - I think the meaning is obvious :)
    Forever
