Temporary One Lyrics
Where are you darlin', when my
Moon is risin', and your
Sun is shinin' down
What are you doin', are you
Missin' me
The way that I'm missin' you now
CHORUS:
The river goes on and on, and the
Sea that divides us is a
Temporary one, and the
Bridge will bring us back together
What are you doin', goin'
Down in to Soho as I
Take my rest tonight
What are you doin', are you
Busy with your world
Well I wish you were busy with mine
(repeat chorus four times)
Moon is risin', and your
Sun is shinin' down
Missin' me
The way that I'm missin' you now
The river goes on and on, and the
Sea that divides us is a
Temporary one, and the
Bridge will bring us back together
Down in to Soho as I
Take my rest tonight
Busy with your world
Well I wish you were busy with mine

well, I am suprised that this song has 3 comments...from one person.lol
I'm surprised no one has commented on this song.
This is one of my favorites; it reminds me of when my first 'real' girlfriend and I split and the glimmer of hope I had that we would get back together someday and live happily ever after. I don't know anything else about this song, I've looked online and can't find anything.
I assume this is Christine singing about a similar situation, or possibly being away from home from everyone she knows and missing them dearly.

This song can be about two people who are physically far apart, possibly continents because of the 'sea that divides us' because the "Moon is risin', and your Sun is shinin' down" they are in drastically different time zones and cannot share time the same. They miss their partner and wonder now with the time they are apart if they miss them the same. He or she yearns to be physically close to that person, but the current situation doesn't allow it. But the song points out that the 'bridge will bring us back together', meaning one day they should see each other.
