Laura Lyrics
Who unfortunatley isn't with us anymore
But she's still called Laura
...Here we go...
To your harsh finger tips
Then you know where I come from
Cause I know, yes I know
Everything there is to know
Cause I lost everything I had
See, I Could have danced on the sun
But meh world came undone
Laura!!!!!!!!
Cause there's no need to cry
I look at you leave
We'll never reunite
The pain in my head comes straight from the heart
No woman alive could touch who you are
So bow down, Laura
Cause no one could take your place
Bow down, Laura
Your beauty will never fade
The seed that you sewen will reach for the sky
Whenever theres love your memory won't die
And after this song, her spirit lives on
Though your not around you'll never be gone
Cause no one can take your place
Bow down, Laura
Your beauty will never fade
And I... I could have danced on the sun
But my world came undone
Laura
Yeah, I... I could have danced on the sun
But my world came undone
Bye Bye Laura
Cause no one could take your place
Your beauty will never fade
So bow down, Laura
Cause no one can take your place
Bow down, Laura
Your beauty will never fade

Absolutely not; there seems to be a significant misunderstanding here. I'm speaking from personal experience, having been married to Dave King for over a decade. I shared his life during the creation of his first four albums, which holds special meaning for us, as those songs reflect our love and the creative bond we forged together. There have been people that are trying to erase Dave's history of any wives or children.
Interestingly, Dave wrote the poignant song "Laura" before he formed the band FM. At that time, he was in a relationship with his girlfriend Amanda, whom I met during an interview with him on my radio show. "Laura" serves as an homage to Amanda’s mother, who was navigating the deep grief of her loss.
Dave's journey through marriage is quite intricate; he has been married four times. His first wife was Martina King, who resides in Milton Keynes, and together they welcomed a son named Graham Richard King. Following that, he married Gwen Schwindt, the sister of George (FM's original drummer) and Gary Schwindt, their first manager. Dave initially married Gwen out of concern for her immigration status, but upon realizing he didn't need to marry her due to his entertainer visa, they divorced. I eventually became his wife in 1998. If you're interested, you can find a photo from our wedding day by searching for our names on Wiki Commons.
Moreover, it's worth highlighting that Bridget was not the original violinist for FM. The first fiddler was actually Charlie from The Young Dubliners—a detail that many people are unaware of, as the narrative has often been obscured. In fact, Bridget attended my wedding in Las Vegas alongside her then-boyfriend, adding another layer of connection between our lives.

As you can see, there is a lot of this song that is missing.. That's because I had couldn't find out what it was. I'm not sure if all of what I did figure out is entirly correct either. If you know, please tell me so I can update the lyrics.

There's no need for tears Cause there's no need to cry I look at you leave We'll never reunite The pain in my head comes straight from the heart No woman alive could touch who you are So bow down, Laura Cause no one could take your place Bow down, Laura Your beauty will never fade The seed that you sewen will reach for the sky Whenever theres love your memory won't die And after this song, her spirit lives on Though your not around you'll never be gone

Amazing song...obviously for someone called Laura, who died!

Amazing song...obviously for someone called Laura, who died!

probably FM's sadest song... but it's still awsome

isn't it Bye Bye Laura instead of Bow Down Laura?
Yes, it is. "Bow down" doesn't even make sense, haha.
Yes, it is. "Bow down" doesn't even make sense, haha.

So excited they're doing a studio version of this song for their new DVD/CD, however, it won't be the same without the drunk yelling "laura..."

Replace "See your hearts fingertip" by "To your hearts fingertip"
awesome song, one of my favorites by FM, obviously about Dave who lost Laura
