She came in like a hurricane
Wearing boots and diamond rings
With a fox fur on her shoulder, she set me wondering
And I could tell she was feeling abandoned
Because she flashed a couple looks my way
She said hop for a ride
You never ask me but I'll tell you anyway

She took me out on the blackboard jungle
Put me straight in a hurricane
She hypnotized my eyes with her silver heeled ways
If I could sing like Paul McCartney, get funky like Etta James
I'd never change, I'd never change
I'd never change her silver heeled ways

She came in and her flags were flying
She was a sailboat of sweet perfume
And I could see that her eyes were smiling
From across the room
Well, I couldn't think of conversation
I was busy looking at her fur
She said hey, you never ask me
So I guess I'll say the word

She took me out on the blackboard jungle
Put me straight in a hurricane
She hypnotized my eyes with her silver heeled ways
If I could sing like Paul McCartney and get funky like Etta James
I'd never change, I'd never change
No, I'd never change her silver heeled ways

(Silver, silver heels) that's what I mean
(Silver) woo talking 'bout silver (silver heels) silver heels
(Whoa-whoa silver) alright (silver heels)
I'm talkin' bout silver (silver) silver heels (silver heels)
(Whoa-whoa silver)

She took me out on the blackboard jungle
And put me straight in a hurricane
She hypnotized my eyes with her silver heeled ways
If I could sing like Paul McCartney, get funky like Etta James
I'd never change, no, I'd never change her
I'd never change her silver heeled ways

(Silver) oh (silver heels) silver heels
(Silver) talkin' 'bout silver heels
(Whoa-whoa silver) silver (silver heels)
(Silver) that's what I mean (silver heels) silver heels
(Whoa-whoa, silver, silver heels)

Certainly Stevie Nicks was not Fleetwood Mac's only mystic...Bob Welch would certainly fit that bill. I love the references to Paul McCartney and Etta James in the chorus. Rarely does Macca get much respect, so the mention is a neat tip of the hat to him.

How would you compare this song to Those Shoes those by the Eagles? This song is about not wanting her to change and those songs is about disapproving of her. She either a high priced call girl or a drug dealer or both. "She hypnotized my eyes with her silver heeled ways” seems to apply she gave him drugs that got him high. Cathy Smith who killed John Belushi March 5, 1982 was known as Silverbag because she sold drugs out of a silver pursue.

In the first verse, I think "She said hop for a ride" should be, "She said, 'Hi four-eyes' " (referring to Welch's eyeglasses)
