Second Hand News Lyrics
I know there's nothing to say
Someone has taken my place
When times go bad
When times go rough
Won't you lay me down in tall grass
And let me do my stuff
I know I got nothin' on you
I know there's nothing to do
When times go bad
And you can't get enough
Won't you lay me down in the tall grass
And let me do my stuff
One thing I think you should know
I ain't gonna miss you when you go
Been down so long
I've been tossed around enough
Couldn't you just
Let me go down and do my stuff
I know you're hopin' to find
Someone who's gonna give you peace of mind
When times go bad
when times go rough
Won't you lay me down in tall grass
And let me do my stuff
I'm just second hand news
I'm just second hand news
Someone has taken my place
When times go bad
When times go rough
Won't you lay me down in tall grass
And let me do my stuff
I know there's nothing to do
When times go bad
And you can't get enough
Won't you lay me down in the tall grass
And let me do my stuff
I ain't gonna miss you when you go
Been down so long
I've been tossed around enough
Couldn't you just
Let me go down and do my stuff
Someone who's gonna give you peace of mind
When times go bad
when times go rough
Won't you lay me down in tall grass
And let me do my stuff
I'm just second hand news

I know you have moved on... but break up sex is in order
Actually, I think 'second hand news' refers to the fact that he feels he's now second best and not first and foremost anymore in the mind of the girl.
Second hand news is yesterday's news as in no longer wanted, needed, or relevant.
this SCREAMS break up sex. hahaha love it :) I still wonder if stevie and linsdey don't have hot angry hate sex after an arguement like they had on 'destiny rules'
From an interview with a Scottish newspaper in 2009: “Hell no!” the guitarist fires back. “They were true. Yes, they were frank. I wasn’t mincing any words about anything. But they were also offering a choice to her.”
In Second Hand News he describes his rejection by Nicks, but also — as he sees it — “humorously” offers her the chance to make a booty call: “when times go bad, when times go rough, won’t you lay me down in the tall grass and let me do my stuff…”
“At first I thought that was a little rude,” says Nicks. “I don’t think I saw a lot of humour. But now I kinda can.”
The guys is singing because his lover left him. Second hand news implies that when she hears anything about his life she hears it from a friend or something. My favorite Fleetwood Mac song.
The chorus is bow , bow, etc. He is laying in the grass and doing his stuff after he has been made second rate to another lover. The Newspaper is referred to. Put bowwow, newspaper, the grass and doing his stuff together, and it is apparant what the metaphor is. He feels demeaned to the point where he becomes a dog. I am always right. Thank you Spongeman
@Spongeman Are you retarded?
