Have mercy, baby, on a poor girl like me
You know I'm falling, falling, falling, at your feet
I'm tingling right from my head to my toes
So help me, help me, help me make the feeling go

'Cause when the loving starts, and the lights go down
And there's not another living soul around
You woo me until the sun comes up
And you say that you love me

Have pity, baby, just when I thought it was over
And now you got me running, running, running for cover
I'm begging you for a little sympathy
And if you use me again it'll be the end of me

'Cause when the loving starts, and the lights go down
There's not another living soul around
You woo me until the sun comes up
And you say that you love me

Baby, baby, hope you're going to stay away
'Cause I'm getting weaker, weaker, every day
I guess I'm not as strong as I used to be
And if you use me again it'll be the end of me

'Cause when the loving starts, and the lights go down
There's not another living soul around
You woo me until the sun comes up
And you say that you love me

'Cause when the loving starts, and the lights go down
There's not another living soul around
You woo me until the sun comes up
And you say that you love me
Say that you love me
Say that you love me

Falling falling falling
Falling falling falling
Falling falling falling
Falling falling falling
Falling falling falling
Falling falling falling

it's "you woo me up till the sun comes up"

a couple of fleetwood mac's songs do deal with drug addictions, but i don't think this one does. she's feeling used because he won't admit he loves her so they both run from it, or maybe he is using her and either way, she's falling. "say you love me" - it's sad, sweet, communication's important!

A lyrical, harmonic song about what it feels like for a woman to feel euphoric from a sexual relationship. Although the "getting weaker every day" and "use me again" parts seem to hint that she knows it's not a healthy thing to do, but she's high off the feeling.

Nice example of boomer giddy optimism that was also a bit jaded.... and the musical arrangement is high style from everyone .. I know Lindsay was an alpha male and so I always hear this arrangement and his overlording of the song structure, instrumentation, etc. These were the days of heavy studio time high production value... they just pushed it further and further. It kind of adds to the tension when you know that about it... it almost makes me think of the song being used on a movie while some violent action is taking place onscreen... as Scorsese might do... in fact there is Mac song in Casino when they are sitting in the Caddy out in the garage to avoid the FBI listening... it's a really tense scene..

I think this song is not about a woman who enjoys the sexual relationship but is feeling tired of being used by the man whom she feels deeply attached to and longs for him to feel the same, while all he wants is to continue the relationship in a purely meaningless and sexual manner.

I think the following link explains the song quite nicely:

This song was written about Stevie Nicks addiction to cocaine if you look at every line of the song, its paints a picture of what cocaine does to you /have pity baby, just when i thought it was over now you got me runnin', runnin', runnin' for cover/ it talks about how she thinks she has it beat, but she can't overcome her addiction

It is a woman under the spell of a man and she knows he is not good for her in the long run.

It’s “say that you love me”

If you can’t read the subtext, she knows he’s going to break her heart. But she doesn’t care.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
