This is by far Michelles best song. Its very sad...but very good song.

i think it has something to do with a relationship that just ended or is going to end. even though the finale has come, she isn't ready for it, and might even be hoping for something more.

This person seems to be fighting his second nature, misunderstanding what truely is theres. Confession that stands lies in my hands, repentence of a soul. Keeping that paper forever close to my heart guarantees a brandnew start.

i love this song, but i don't think it says 'you came up to me and said you frustrate me' ... it sounds more like she says 'pretending not to rain so you frustrate me' but i know that's sooo wrong...it just sounds like that

I thought it said "You turned down not to answer; you frustrate me"...i dunno though...does that even make sense? anyways, I really like this song, I hope it gets on her new album. Michelle rocks!

"back to you, it always come around back to you" is a line from the john mayer song back to you. they way she sings it is like from that song as well. i know that she is a fan of his, and i guess they know eachother, and it makes me wonder if the whole song is about him. i think they would be the cutest and most perfect couple ever! haha i don't think its about him but i wish

i love this song, it just shows how talented Michelle branch is. this means to me, that she has fallen for this person, who she has missed her chance with, he doesnt realise what she is feeling or doesnt consider her feelings, making her feel miserable. she doesnt really want to feel this way "Why can't i ignore it?" one of her best songs

It actually says on that one part "You looked my way and said "you fustrate me." But yeah I like this song a lot. I interprete it as a long term relationship changes over time and the wants it to end...and her feelings didn't change. She doesn't think its fair that things can change but her feelings won't.

This song reminds me of my ex boyfriend sooooo much. It's just like everything I would put in a song for him. He technically broke up with me bcuz he was embarrassed of me, so thats why the "you looked at me and said 'you frustrate me'" comes in so perfectly. And just so does everything else. Cuz I knew i still had feelings for him and he did for me too, but it was just the way he looked at me sometimes that made me feel like we were never going to get back together. I just love Michelle Branch sooo much, I relate to all of her songs; mostly all of hotel paper's, all cuz of the same guy, but i think this whole cd is about her ex boyfriend, so its like me and her had the same feelings for our ex boyfriends and pretty much went through the same thing with him.
