One of my favorite songs from the Eighties. I learned the guitar riff, I memorised the lyrics, I simply loved this song, and the rest of the Spring Session M album. This song, and Noticable Ones wer, in my opinion, the best two songs on the album.
This is prolly one of the most straightforward hit songs of this era: if you are walking around in LA, people will think you’re weird, criminal, poor, and/or up to no good. Why? Because no one walks in LA. And the lyrics are not endorsing nor mocking this attitude. They’re just describing how it is.

beacuse we have no public transportation, everyone drives everywhere, very simple and sarcastic about life.Watch Swingers sometime, 5 guys go to a party, they take 5 cars!
