monday
sunshine
so high
it's hard to see
and through the
sunday
clouds still
lingering
have you wound up in the sea
spinning above
burning inside
further you go
deeper you dive
don't mean to deceive
but it's they who believe
they fall in love with the girl they perceive
not you
you blind them
with kindness
until they are reminded
they're lonely
and desperate
and you have a secret
it's something they all think they need
spinning above
burning inside
further you go
deeper you dive
don't mean to deceive
but it's they who believe
they fall in love with the girl they perceive
not you
they see what they want in you
they get what they need from you
they take advantage of you
they would be nothing without you
so blind them
with kindness
until they are reminded
spinning above
burning inside
further you go
deeper you dive
don't mean to deceive
but it's they who believe
they fall in love with the girl they perceive
not you
they see what they want in you
they get what they need from you
they take advantage of you
they would be nothing without you

this is such a great song
This is a great song, very pretty, I think its just commenting on how guys don't see this girl for who she really is, and they only think they love her but are just lonely and make her into what they want, wow, story of my life
Story of everyone's life, that's why divorce rates are through the damn roof.
why does this song always remind of being lonely and that it really sucks o_O dunno...
I think its sort of about how guys use girls and its aimed at those girls and in a way making them feel bad because it says they fall in love with the girl they perceive not you . but its saying that they are important in ways because 'they would be nothing with out you' this song can sound kind of mean but I still love it
upon first listen, i heard it as the singer trying to tell a girl he knows and loves that he sees her being taken advantage of by other guys.
he wants her to know that he gets her. that these guys don't appreciate her for who she truly is. and the irony is that without her, those guys would "be nothing".
the song also speaks to me on a different level - about how we often put up facades of ourselves. and that sometimes when we try and hide ourselves behind these personas we attract people that inevitably turn out to be people we are not suited to.
it seems that those who fall for us don't bother trying to look below the surface, and try and find out who our real selves are. And that's what makes relationships so heartbreaking sometimes. and why this song speaks to me.
it's sorta sending mixed messages in a way because it's saying "they would be nothing without you" like comforting the girl because she's taken advantage of.. but then it's telling her to take control of the situation and "blind them with kindness" oh, i guess that works.. but it's sorta telling the girl to take advantage
ohh the sarcasm =)
its about how people change
I sent this song to my (now) ex-gf when we were still together. She didn't understand the song nor why I would have her listen to it. Which is exactly why I sent it to her in the first place.
