This is my absolute favorite Queen song and that's a tough decision. "Open up your mind and let me step inside" best line in the whole song. The lyrics are quite simple. Easy listening. :) Freddie was a genius.
One of my favorites. I really like how there are subtle changes in tone or mood in the song, from cheery to ominous. They lyrics are also sometimes earnest and sometimes flippant in regards to falling in love. Reminds me a little bit of Ring of Fire (Johnny Cash) in certain ways, especially when it comes to the dual nature of love or dating.
Classic....i love the slow to fast interlude in the midle......classic Queen...only they could pull off a song as daring as this one.

This song is about opening up and falling in love while you have the chance. It is about enjoying life and moving on if one relationship doesn't work out. Don't waste time worrying about what happened before and look for new love. It is a beautiful song that I was lucky enought to see Freddie perform in 1980 when Queen opened the new coliseum in Charleston West Virginia. This was the opener and it equally astounding live. Freddie is the best.
The meaning of this song when they say "play the game" of life. Is this: people are taught from the beginning of their life that they are to go to school, fall in love, get married, have children - and then it doesn't work out sometimes. So play the game, live your life, fall in love, rinse and repeat
A kinda "easy-listening" song, I like the way they sing "It's so eeeeeeaaaaaasyyyyy....". Great message, sounds kinda like a manual ;)
